  1. AUTHORITY OF THE BELIEVER I

Instructor: Lance Ivey
This course is designed to bring the student into a fuller understanding of the believer’s authority in Jesus Christ. The believer’s personal structures authority, as compared with the authority of the church, will be discussed relative to the times in which we now live.

  1. AUTHORITY OF THE BELIEVER II

Instructor: Lance Ivey
This course builds upon the principles and structure of authority in Authority of the Believer I. There is also impartation about: (1) the purpose for authority being delivered into the hands of individual believers; and (2) the effect of corporate authority during the end-time harvest. The connection between faith and authority is also established.

  1. AVOIDING DECEPTION

Instructor: Sharon Daugherty
This course is designed to teach the believer how to discern and walk in the truth. The student learns how to live by God’s principles in the midst of a world that is filled with traps of offense, seduction, apathy, compromise, lustful attractions, wrong believing and various distractions that pull at all Christians. The subtleties of satan that are trying to literally take people to hell are identified. The believer will learn to recognize deception and overcome them.

  1. BIBLE COVENANTS

Instructor: Lance Ivey
The Bible clearly reveals God as a covenant making, covenant keeping and covenant revealing God. The Bible itself is a covenant book containing the Old and New Testaments (covenants). We will explore several Bible covenants, how they reveal God’s scarlet thread of redemption, and how these covenants are fulfilled in our blood covenant relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

  1. THE CHARACTER OF GOD

Instructor: Mark Morgan
This course is an examination of the Old Testament Hebrew names of God, which give revelation into the character of God. Jesus will be seen as the incarnate expression of these names and the one who is the same yesterday, today and forever. The revelation into the unchanging nature and character of God will strength your faith as you discover the awesomeness of our God.

In this course, the student will be rooted and grounded in the profound truths that make up the foundation for Christian life and also the doctrine of the charismatic church. The word of God is the standard by which the student will measure his/her belief system, and it is the foundation underlying this course.

This course is a study of the person of the Holy spirit and His place and function in the Godhead, His spiritual gifts, and how these gifts operate in the Body of Christ.

This course will examine the value and necessity of spiritual growth. It will prove, by the teachings and examples in the New Testament, that growing up spiritually in Christ is the key to fulfilling our God-given potential.

  1. HOW TO BE LED BY THE SPIRIT

This is an in-depth study of how God does and does not lead His people. The purpose of this course is to provide insight into the ways God leads his people from the spirit-man within, and the ways often misses the leading of the Lord by ignorance or miss-assumption.

This course is about influenced! Influence is that uncanny ability that causes people to buy into and follow a person or vision. You will learn irrefutable laws that govern the influence of a leader and how to apply them.

This course will set forth an accurate account of the life of Christ. Topics include His eternal pre-existence, His miracle birth, His life, teachings and ministry, His sacrificial death and resurrection. His ascension and His present day ministry. We will reveal Jesus in His humanity and deity, and in His ministry of love that is now at work in and through believers today!

  1. MARRIAGE AND FAMILY

This course establishes how to build and maintain a godly marriage and family based on biblical foundations. Topics include the courtship, getting through the period of early marriage, dealing with challenges of raising Godly children.

A foundation course intended to be taught during first session of Bible school training that gives an overview of basic Christian themes, such as the Bible, the trinity, the definition of sin, prayer, definitions of baptism, importance of tithing, healing etc.

New creation realities is an unveiling of who we are in Christ today; of what He says we are; and what He has made us to be in His great redemptive work. Though we live in this world, we are no longer of this world. It is imperative for us to know what the new reality is for us as believers.

  1. NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY I

Instructor: Roland Depew
This course will examine the New Testament gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, plus the Book of the Acts of the Apostles. Attention will be focused on major doctrinal themes within each book, plus understanding the books through the lenses of contemporary cultural background (including the customs of the times) and political issues.

This course surveys the historical, political and religious setting of the 1st century AD early church, as written in the Books of Romans through Revelation. Major doctrines and themes are presented so that the student may gain an overall understanding of these epistles and apply to his or her life.

  1. OLD TESTAMENT I

Instructor: Roland Depew
This course presents a panoramic view of the Old Testament through the Books of the law and the books on history, from Genesis though Esther. It emphasizes major themes, characters, historical events, geography and cultures of the times. Practical application is also emphasized.

  1. OLD TESTAMENT II

Instructor: Roland Depew
This course presents a panoramic of the Old Testament, emphasizing major themes, characters, historical events, geography and cultures of the times with emphasis on the books of wisdom/poetry, plus the major and minor prophets.

  1. PRINCIPLES OF MINISTRY

Instructor: Bruce Edwards
This course deals with the charismatic ministry relating to the different phases, operations and administrations of today principles covered include the natural preparations, working together with personal integrity, and heavenly anointing.

  1. PRINCIPLES OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP

This course gives students a scriptural foundation for praise, music and worship and also prescribes for believers the lifestyle of praise and worship that enables them to know God better through a closer relationship with Him. Practical elements of music ministry will also be outlined.

This course is a study of God’s revelation of righteousness to the church. The message of righteousness runs throughout the Bible; from the creation of man to the second coming of Jesus Christ. Righteousness is one of the most important messages ever offered to the church. The course provides a biblical basis for a victorious, triumphant and joyful life for the believer.

  1. THE SPIRIT OF FAITH

The spirit of faith is that intangible ingredient which compelled the heroes of faith to finish their courses with joy. This course describes what faith is and how to activate it. It will combine information with inspiration by emulating those who through faith and patience have inherited the promises.

This course is designed to equip the believer in walking in the spirit, ministering in and by the spirit with God’s authority, and to help fine-time the believer’s spiritual discernment. IVBI COURSE DESCRIPTION FIRST LEVEL PROGRAM
AUTHORITY OF THE BELIEVER: A foundational study of the rights and privileges of believers according to their God-given inheritance through Jesus.

BIBLE COVENANTS: A course that explores the nine covenants, God’s purpose in the creation and redemption of man, and how each of these covenants is fulfilled in our blood covenant relationship with God.

BIBLE DOCTRINES: A study of the major doctrines in the New Testament.

BIBLICAL PROSPERITY: A study of true prosperity.

BOOK OF ACTS: A course that looks at the early church and how the Holy Spirit directed believers as an example for the church today.

CHARACTER OF THE BELIEVER: A study of the meaning of the character of the believer and key attributes that constitute a pure vessel.

CHARACTER OF GOD: A study of the nature and character of God as seen through His names found in the Bible.

DIVINE HEALTH: A course biblically establishing the will of God concerning healing and divine health with special instruction on how to minister to the sick.

EVANGELISM: A course to encourage, equip, and motivate believes to fulfill the Great Commission.

NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY I and II: This survey gives an overall view and understanding of each of the 27 New Testament books better enabling the student to study the Bible.

OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY I and II: This survey gives an overall view of each of the 39 books of the Old Testament, highlights events from each book, and shows how teachings from these books will help us in our daily walk as believers.

PRAISE LIFE: A study of the personal application of the principles and patterns of praise and elements of worship and of how praise and worship differ.

PRINCIPLES OF PRAYER: A study of the different kinds of prayer found in the Bible, the rules involved and functions of each kind of prayer, and learning how to effectively pray.

PROVERBS: A study of the different subjects found in this book of wisdom and how to practically apply them to our lives.

RIGHTEOUSNESS: A course designed to give each student a biblical foundation of what righteousness is, to build a righteousness consciousness in each student, and to unfold the fruit of righteousness.

THE WORD: A study giving undeniable evidence that Jesus is the word and the word is Jesus. Also this study will reveal that the Word is God’s ultimate revelation of Himself to man. His world reveals His nature, will and authority.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS SECOND LEVEL PROGRAM
BIRTHING A CHURCH: A course providing the mechanics in birthing a church.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY: A course providing an understanding of why children need special ministry, how to have an effective children’s program, and how to effectively evangelize, teach and pastor children.

THE CHURCH: A study of what the church is, doctrines of the church, and how the government of the church should be structured from a biblical prospective.

COUNSELING: A course designed to show “how to” do Christian counseling with God’s word as the standard. Also, a study showing why Christian can be so effective.

THE DOCTRINE OF ANGELS: A scriptural study of all angels, good and evil.

THE DOCTRINE OF LAST THINGS: A study of end times.

PRACTICAL MINISTRY: An introduction to ministry providing an understanding of the Helps of ministry, the qualifications of and relationships of and relationships with the other ministers.

HOW TO PREACH: A practical course on the art of communicating, methods of preaching, classifications of sermons and how to organize and present a sermon.

A LIFE OF PRAYER: A course showing how to have a powerful prayer life including studies on the Christian soldier, the spiritual world, generation curses, and how to pray for your city, your country and the world.

MINISTRY GIFTS: A study of the call to the ministry, the various ministry gifts and how these gifts are to function in the church.

PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: A study of the person of the Holy spirit – who he is, what he does, his special names in the Bible and how he helps determine God’s divine direction for each of our lives.

PRINCIPLES OF MINISTRY: A study of the purpose and work of ministry and the ordinances of the church giving the student an understanding of how to conduct a water baptism service, a communion service, a marriage ceremony, and a funeral service.

SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP: A study of the character traits of a spiritual leader and how to develop them in your life.
