THE SCHOOL OF BASIC MINISTERIAL STUDIES


The school of basic ministerial studies is the school that showcases the real and accepted courses for the students who are admitted in El Theological College. The school is specifically organized for the students who may want to make their choices of specialization in the under listed courses and programmes in our school. The students applying in this school must specialized on either Biblical studies, managerial studies, Christian education, Christian ministries, Christian missions, philosophical studies, Religion, Theology, courses on Divinity or courses on Christian worship and spirituality. In this school the student is allowed to make his or her choice from the time of his or her admission. The student is allowed to only select four departments or four programmes that shall carry the student throughout the four years. It is for both diploma and bachelor degree students. There should be no changes after selecting the four courses by any student. Any student applying for courses in this school should think and reason properly in order to make proper choice among the four courses in his mind.

ENLIGHTMENT TO STUDENTS
Students desiring to study through the school of basic ministerial studies have gained great favour before the lord and with all humanities, but the students must first go through the course outlined in this school and make their specific choices of courses and the areas they feel, that can fit their ministries. After the students are admitted in their specific courses of choice there shall be no changes until the graduation of such students. The student has the right to choose any of the courses above or make his or her choice from the general course which is showcased on the programme entitled “Outline of courses and department”. Nevertheless, the student making this change is only allowed to take only a department that is not among the ten showcased in this school programme, we wish all desirous students good seasons, favour and God’s blessings in their choice to study in the best Bible college in Africa.

REQUIRED TERM PAPERS FOR THE STUDENTS
Each student of the postgraduate school is expected to write and present his or her term papers before the last two months to his or her graduation. The presentations of the term papers are as follows:

  1. Masters degree students – 10 term paper with not less than 30 pages each.
  2. Doctorate degree student- 22 term papers with not less than 42 pages each.
  3. The approved term papers for the students to write are according to their courses and classes. Those for doctorate degree should make their choice while those of the masters degree should also make their months of their graduation. Nevertheless, the presentation of the term papers should be weekly to allow the student finish before his or her graduation. Students should present their topics for approval before writing their term papers.

 

CONDITIONS FOR WRITING

    • Each term paper should be typed in a book form without spacing.
    • The original copy should be presented to the college and not duplicate.
    • No student should be allowed to graduate without finishing his/her term paper.
    • No student should be allowed to graduate without finishing his/her term paper.
    • The term paper is different from thesis.
    • The term papers should be parts of the courses studied by the students specific course.
    • The term will suggest or reflect the very course discipline of the student.
