DURATION FOR STUDIES
The school for rural evangelism is both for an ordinary certificate for one year studies, diploma for two years studies, while bachelor degree for this course is for four years studies. SPECIAL SCHOOL FOR WOMEN MINISTERS

Special school for women ministers is designed for the called women in the churches and specially those already in the ministries or those intending to join the ministries. The school is designed to help female ministers to succeed and to equipped in their ministries. It is a special study for the called women in our society. The school is purely designated to lady evangelists, the prophetess, the shepherdess, female apostles, female pastors and lady teachers of our days. This is a great opportunity for called women in our churches and in the gospel ministries.

DURATION OF STUDIES
This is a specialized school that admits women only and needed no man around neither in the class. The duration of studies is four years for those without any former theological training, while two years for those diploma holders from theological related discipline and one year for those already with their bachelor degrees in theological related courses.

PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAMME
This course is designed to build women ministers in women related ministries, office of the women in the church, the need of unction among women ministers, women leadership, church management, family management, children ministries, youth ministries, women authorities, women leadership, the office of the prophetess, the office of Deaconess, office of lady evangelist, women in ministries and other related ministries and courses that will educate and built women in their ministries.

WHO ARE STUDENTS OF THIS SCHOOL?
The students of this school are the only called female ministers who have the burden to carry the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to cities, villages and nations. This is a specialized school for called ladies or women alone. Men are not needed to apply in this school because the courses, lectures and activities in this school are fully and purely feminine.

CERTIFICATE EXPECTED
This is a bachelor degree programme of four years studies, but it can also offer both certificate of women ministry and diploma of ministries, missions or in theology to the qualified candidates.

MODES AND METHODS
This course is both full time or regular programme, part time programme, weekend programme, correspondence and internet Bible programmes, the student determines the one easier for her and communicate back to the school authority. Distance or personal schedules are not barriers to study in this school.

Apart from the regular students who are required to come to the campus once every week on Tuesdays, the rest of the students can study at anytime, anywhere and any day of their choice and still make their papers.

PAYABLE FEES
The cost of distant programme in El Theological College shall be followed in this programme. The interested student is required to pay for her registration/admission fees, tuition fees, matriculation fee, graduation fee, correspondent fee and others when they are need or when necessary. SCHOOL OF GOSPEL COMMUNICATIONS

The school of Gospel communication is a specialized programme designed to build, to equip and to train the gospel ministers in a specialized and specific ministry of the gospel communication, powerful preaching, Biblical teaching and Ethics of soul winning through Bible communication. It is an undergraduates course aiming at training the students in Diploma and in bachelor degree programmes. It is a two year Diploma course or a four year bachelor degree course. T 111 GIFTS, SIGNS AND MIRACLES I 1 TRIMESTER HOUR: An introduction to Bible teaching about the gift of the spirit, including the relationship of the gifts of the spirit to the fruit of the spirit. Particular attention is given to the proper understanding of the biblical gift of tongues and the areas too necessary for these studies.

T 112 GIFTS, SIGN AND MIRACLES II 1 TRIMESTER HOUR: An introduction to the subject of spiritual POWER ENCOUNTER. Exploration of various perspectives on the power encounter involved in invading the territory of the “god of this world” and in bringing people from the power of Satan to God. Consideration will be given to both defensive and offensive posture of the Christian.

T 211 GIFTS, SIGNS AND MIRACLES III 1 TRIMESTER HOUR: An introduction to the study of divine healing. Healing in the Bible is analyzed first, followed by healing in non-Christian religions, and family healing in today’s world. Emphasis is laid on distinguished healing of a divine source from that which comes from other sources.

T 212 GIFTS, SIGNS AND MIRACLES IV 1 TRIMESTER HOUR: An introduction to the study of miracles. The foundation is laid by a study of miracles in both the old and new testaments. The operation of the miraculous in today’s world is considered, and particular note is made of the possibilities of deception.

T 222 SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY I, II 2 TRIMESTER HOURS EACH TRIMESTER: A Comprehensive study in the great doctrines of the Christian faith, God, Man, sin, salvation, inspired Revelation, Eschatology.

T 251 PASTORAL MINISTRIES 4 TRIMESTER HOURS: Seeks to introduce the student to the practice and problems of pastoral work and church leadership. Ministerial ethics is included in this course.

T 311 CHURCH HISTORY I, II 2 TRIMESTER HOURS EACH TRIMESTER: A survey of modern times with emphasis upon spiritual lessons to be learned from the record of God’s dealing with His church through the ages. Include non western developments.

T 321 THEOLOGY OF HOLINESS 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: A study of the Wesley an doctrine of sanctification as revealed in the scriptures, both as a second definite work of grace and as a comprehension of the entire work of salvation.

T 331 CULTS AND ISMS 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: Evaluates the so-called cults and Islms’’ which today have penetrated most of the world. This is approached basically through a historical analysis, theological evaluation of these systems and an apologetic contrast with Biblical truth.

T 342 PASTORAL COUNELING 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: Consideration of the principles basic to pastoral counseling in light of biblical understanding of, as well as valid psychological insights into, human nature.

T 412 HISTORY OF CHRISTIANITY IN AFRICA 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: The history of Christianity on the African continent, its origins in North Africa, and its spread in black Africa in modern times.

T 421 HOLINESS TRADITION 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: A study of the theology and history of the holiness movement over the past 250 years. The study commences with the ministries of John and Charles Wesley, and continues through the nineteen century interdenominational holiness revival to the present movement world-wide. This course includes a survey of holiness literature.

T 432 HERMENEUTICS 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: The science of biblical interpretation with examination and explanation of the various systems of such. Using selected passages of scripture, the disciplines necessary in biblical interpretation come to be understood and developed.

T 442 SENIOR THESIS 4 TRIMESTER HOURS: Research paper of 10,000words on a theological topic chosen and approved by faculty adviser before the final trimester to be in standard typed form in triplicate.

MI 111 CROSS CULTURAL COMMUNICATION 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: Insights from rhetoric, persuasion, motivational psychology, semiotics, psycholinguistics, cultural anthropology and comparative religion all brought to bear on the problem of communicating Christian message in another culture.

MI 122 HISTORY OF MISSIONS 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: A historical overview of the missionary work of the church from the beginning until the present. Emphasis is given to trends, issues, strategy and methods of the missionary movement. The course is designed to give the student a broad outlook and sympathetic understanding of the church’s world-wide task.

MI 211 CHURCH GROWTH 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: Study of the Biblical mandates and procedures for church growth as well as study of present-day churches that are growing in order to discern the causes for church growth. The role of the pastor as a spiritual leader is carefully considered.

MI 222 CHURCH PLANTING 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: How to plant a church in Nigeria. The problems and techniques of church planting including contact, church structure, forms of worship, self support, lay participation, leadership development, church-mission and church denomination relationship.

MI 341 PERSPECTIVE I, II 2 TRIMESTER HOURS EACH: A broad study of the world Christian movement under the heads of mission, pioneers of mission, cultural aspects, and strategy planning spread over two trimester.

MI 441 WORLD RELIGIONS I, (II ISLAM) 2 TRIMESTER HOURS EACH: Survey of the history and tents of the major living religions, giving special attention to their relationship to the missionary task of the church. The second section concentrates on (African) Islam.

MI 412 CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGY 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: The nature of culture and the processes of cultural invention, diffusion and acculturation are considered.

LANGUAGE AND BIBLE MINISTRY
L 101 BASIC ENGLISH SKILLS I, II 4 TRIMESTER HOURS EACH: This course is designed and taught as development, rather than remedial. For those whose command of English is sub-standard on entrance, this course is necessary.

L 111 ENGLISH COMPOSITION AND EXPRESSION 4 TRIMESTER HOURS: This course is aimed at giving students the basis of the English language that will assist them in communication and to do well in their examination. It is also aimed at helping students to cope with reading and comprehension, vital in their academic pursuit.

L 211 USE OF ENGLISH I, II 4 TRIMESTER HOURS EACH: This course is intended for first year students who are embarking on their diploma or degree studies in a senior seminary. More advanced reading and writing will be pursued so that at the end an approximate standard of first year university work is attained.

L 311 ENGLISH AND BUSIENSS COMMUNICATION 4 TRIMESTER HOURS: This is a follow up course for those who have completed the series of the use of English. The course prepares the student to meet up with the task of his day to day communication with English language. The fundamental requirements for a successful use of the language in business interaction are taught. Thus the student is given the tools to break the barriers of miscommunication in the discharge of his work.

L 312 ENGLISH FOR RPEACHERS 4 TRIMESTER HOURS: This course primarily covers all the rudiments of oral English. It is predominantly practical with focus on how the language is applied on the stage. Students for this course must have completed not less than eight credit units of the grammar classes. Additional lectures on how to write and deliver seminar papers will be given.

L 411 ENGLISH AND RESEARCH 4 TRIMESTER HOURS: This provides a guide for those students who are in their final year or research work. Different methods and techniques of research will be given. Students will be encouraged to do some research into present day problems in Christianity. The ultimate aim is to give the student background for successful research engagements even when he leaves schools.

L 412 CHRISTIAN LITERATURE 4 TRIMESTER HOURS: Here students are taught to understand and appreciate literary work. They will be taken above the level of mere acquisition of the facts they read in the text. Students should be able to show awareness and critically respond to how language functions. Emphasis will also be given on Christian classics.

L 321 FRENCH I, II: This course programme is designed as a foreign language course for beginners with the assumption that the ultimate aim of students is to carry the gospel of Christ to French speaking countries.

L 421 French III: Is designed to consolidate what have been taught in I and II, and expose you to more terms and intonations from the French speaking world. In this course, you will be introduced to readers, in preparation for more advanced literature and Christian texts in the next course.

L 432 LINGUISTICS 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: Study of the principles of language organization and how to use them to learn new languages.

L 431 GREEK FOR ENGLISH READERS 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: A study of the Greek alphabet and basic grammar to use with aids for the study of the New Testament.

L 441 HEBREW LANGUAGE 2 TRIMESTER HOURS: A study of the Hebrew alphabet and basic grammar to use with aids for the study of the word of God.

Chp 412 CHRISTIAN EDUCATION: 3 Trimester hours. This teaches the growth development and stages of man in relation to his understanding what is taught to him. Though aimed at making the student to be effective communicator in his preaching, teaching and in Sunday school issues.

Chp 413 WORSHIP AND DEVOTIOANL LIFE: 2 Trimester hours. This course is to call the student back to where he started by making him be devoted, prayerful and studious, especially in the word of God and related materials.

Chp 411 CRISIS MANAGEMENT: 2 Trimester hours. This course is designed to help the student especially those called to be pastors and church leaders to be self confident, have self control and to posses the ability to control any storm that may come their ways.

Chp 211 SHEPHERDING: This is 2 trimester hours. The course that brings the student to the ministry of Jesus Christ who is to our great shepherd. It helps the students to understand caring, church leadership and all pastoral duties.
Chp 413 LAY MINISTRY: This course teaches the duties of the lay works in the church and helps the students see the usefulness of laities in the church.

Chp 412 YOUTH MINISTRY: 2 trimester hours. This reaches the usefulness of the youth, the needed motivation, how to use the youth and keys to use the youth as church agents.

Chp 413 ESCHATOLOGY: 2 trimester hours. This course is aimed at helping the students be strong in faith and to know the signs and events of the last days. It is generally known as the studies of the last days.

Chp 411 CHARACTER STUDIES: 2 trimester hours. This course is aimed at challenging the student to do greater job for God by exposing him to the lives, efforts, activities, spiritualities, works and words of the past heroes of faith like Moses, Abraham, Samuel, David, Peter, Paul etc.

BIBLE SCIENCES
Bs 411 BIBLE ARCHAEOLOGY: 2 trimester hours. The student is made to know the realities of the Bible histories, such as Noah’s ark, Golgotha etc and their present discoveries.

Bs 412 SCRIPTURE SCIENCE: 2 trimester hours. This course helps the student to understand that God created what the scientist today work on such as sun, moon, stars, sky and soil etc.

Bs 413 BIBLE MAPS: This is 2 trimester hours. This is called the Bible geography leading to help the student know the true map of events of both old and New Testament issues of the Bible.

Bs 414 Ethnology: 2 trimester hours. A comprehensive study of how Bible nations were formed, their origins and their link with original creation mentioned in the Bible.

Bs 411 EVIDENTIAL THEOLOGY: 2 trimester hours. This course like the systematic theology seeks to direct the student on the issues mentioned by the Bible to prove the authenticity of the Holy Bible.

Bs 412 CATERING: 3 trimester hours. This is a course aiming at helping the missionaries be self supported by teaching them how to prepare different kinds of food, soap, pomade cream, detergent, powder, sewing etc.

Bs 414 FOOD SCIENCE: This 3 trimester hours. Course aiming at helping the student be vast in domestic works like bakery, foods etc.

Bs 411 HEALTH SCIENCE: 3 trimester hours. This is a primary health science aiming at helping the missionaries to know how to live, what to do and the needed drugs to apply where there is no doctor.

LEGAL STUDIES

Ls 112 THE CHURCH AND GOVERNMENT: 2 trimester hours. Course helping the student to know his right in the government, the position and duties of the church, the right of the church etc in the government of the people.

Ls 411 CHRISTIANS AND THE LAW: 3 trimester hours. The history of law, the position of the clergy, freedom of worship, law of acquisitions, landownership, personal and collective ownership, the positions of Christian lawyers and magistrates and issues relating to laws will be exposed to help the student to know his left and right.

Ls 412 PARLIAMENTARY LAW: 2 trimester hours, though aiming at helping the student to understand laws governing meetings, still the student will learn how other parliamentary bodies even the government operates.
