THE PRESIDENTIAL REVELATIONS

The presidential talks are the documented statements made by Rev. Prof. Emma Ononuju in relation to the existence, formation and the origin of El Theological College and other associate ministries of Rev Prof Emma Ononuju and his wife DR Alice Zuriel Ononuju.

This address slightly reveals how Prof Ononuju and his wife struggled, their burden, their vision, and their efforts and how they finally agreed with God to start the Bible College. These talks cover the following areas in the history of their missions and ministries.

  1. The question of origin
  2. The presidential revelation
  3. What El Theological college stands for and some programmes of the institution.

Below stands the total unveiling of the presidential talks of these years, read on.

  1. THE QUESTION OF ORIGIN AND MINISTRY

El Theological college is an inter denominational Theological college, fully organized for the training of the pastors, evangelist, missionaries, prophets, teachers, deacons and other church workers for the growth of the christian and conversion of souls. It is the direct and personal vision of Rev Prof Emmanuel Ononuju. Rev. Prof Emmanuel Ononuju single handedly founded a ministry in 1982 with the name Redeption campaingers ministry at Port-Harcourt. Later El Emancipation ministry was born at Aba in 1994. The ministry is an outreach ministry commissioned to preach in existing churches, planting of churches, crusades preaching, breaking of curses and general deliverance. Through this ministry God has greatly used Rev Prof Emmanuel Ononuju and his wife in Nigeria. The vision of the Bible college was born in 1995, but waiting upon God’s time, it appeared the vision was weakened, but by the frequent demands of many Christians from different churches in Aba and beyond who wanted Ononuju to start a Bible college for the training of ministers, church workers and called men in Nigeria, Ononuju was again encouraged to revive the vision, when Ononuju asked some of the people who demanded that he should open a Theological College, what was their reason, their answer have always been the same, which they said “ we want a holy man whom we trust and whom we know all about his faith, life and spiritual stand like you”. This expression so encouraged Ononuju too much that in 1996 he started his first attempt to connect some foreign universities for affiliation, while the El Emancipation ministry was going on at B.M.C 163 Cameroon Rd. Aba, for the prayers and deliverance of the afflicted. By this time also the ministry was single handedly carried by Rev Prof Emma Ononuju and his wife. In 1997, the programme was carried to BMC 6 Jojo Street, Asaokpaja Aba, when Prof Ononuju was transferred to that local church as the senior pastor.

The pressure of the clients made Ononuju to speed up the opening of the theological college. From1998-2001, the ministry was taking off from and was residing at B.M.C. Ic Evurunobi street, over rail Aba. Ononuju has no intention of opening his own church, but has the vision of helping the existing churches. He wants to maintain his ministry and membership in B.M.C that’s why he chose ministers from different denominations and want them also to remain in their churches. El Emancipation is not a church, but a ministry to reach the unreached. El Theological college therefore is the institution and the educational arm of the El Emancipation ministry. The conclusive vision of starting the Bible college in full, came in January 1996, but praying for the place to start, the Lord provided the place in the year 2001, complete 60 months after agreeing with God. Our college is God sent and the purpose of the college shall be achieved. We have aim, vision and strong plan to obey and please the Lord. Redemption campaigners mission which is now a growing church was through God’s persuasion, order and through God’s directive.

El Theological college was established on 9th April, 2001 at No. 3 Umuagbai Road Aba, without any student, without any aid from any church, with a board and without any helper but Ononuju and the Lord alone. By the time of this writing, Eltheco has recorded more than 50 students at the main campus.

  1. THE PRESIDENTIAL REVELATION

It is my greatest joy to present this address today in this great event of our college. El Theological college derived its name from the Hebrew word El meaning “God” and this name of course has attracted power and presence of God to the college. This college was established about the 36 months ago through the vision and leadership of God.

I started the school without any friend, without any board, without any support of the church and without a single student but the father, the son and the Holy Ghost who advertised and brought people to the college. El Theological college is not a branch of any existing Bible college in Nigeria and not owned by any church denomination but owned by God and all who believe in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, therefore our College is an inter-denominational Bible college that admits Christians from different fellowship backgrounds.

It will be an omission if this address is void of existence, our vision, courses in our college and our needs. I therefore use this time to speak more of these.

  1. THE PURPOSE OF OUR EXISTENCE: Our Bible College is established to correct many errors caused by Theological College and ministered of our days which have affected the churches today. Many Bible Colleges teach the letter and allow the spirit to die, some are after money and not after heaven or salvation, while some preachers of some Bible colleges cannot even boast of GCE but today are called the Reverend Doctors. The deadness and politics that started in the Bible colleges have made many churches to be the home of criminals, houses of liars, alter of dupes and closet of sinners and boasters. These painful, shameful and unbiblical habits in the houses of God motivated God to raise a prophet like me and to establish a home of correction like El Theological College to correct and to heal such ugly conditions, which today many ministers both those in full time with us and those on part time have received spiritual healing, deliverance and the true word of life.

  1. SCHOOL PROGRAMMES: Like other secular universities. El Theological College has many academic programmes. El Theological college has postgraduate department to prepare those for master’s and doctorate degrees. We have department of part time and correspondence studies and have been helping ambitious students from distant areas with study materials and guidelines to private studies. Nevertheless, we do all these because we have knowledge and materials that can authenticate them.
  1. THE COLLEGIANS: Our students cannot only compete and defeat students from other Bible colleges but our students stand as lectures to students with theological courses but also with secular courses studied in the secular universities especially those studied by the faculty of humanities. Our diploma students studied more than the masters degree students of some Bible colleges and can teach even those with masters degrees. This is a simple truth that needs no debate. Our students here are my witnesses.

  1. COURSES IN OUR COLLEGE: It has been generally known, believed and expressed by many people even some presidents of other Bible college that El Theological College is the most academic, most spiritual, most balanced, most truthful and the best Bible college presently in Abia State. This truth is evidenced in the number of courses offered by our college, the systems of chapel services, preaching and teaching in our college. Our college, has the highest number of courses in Nigeria. This is not exaggeration to tell you that our diploma students study more than 95 courses, while the degree students study more than 190 courses before their graduation for complete and comprehensive equipment. These numbers of courses are not obtainable in most Bible Colleges in Nigeria.
  1. OUR LECTURES AND STUDENTS: We have qualified lectures who were properly groomed, well equipped, disciplined and theologically sound. Our lectures are holy men and women who are the epitome of what they are teaching. They make themselves fathers to the students and friends that sticketh closer than brothers. Today we are graduating and matriculating some students, our graduating students will represent and speak of this Bible college where ever they are because of what they received from this college. The matriculating students are today admitted into the academic stream of El Theological College for wider knowledge. There is always a rapport and harmonious relationship between the lectures and the students and these since attracted love, respect and unity among us.

  1. AFFILIATION: Our college is affiliated to Victory Bible Institute U.S.A., we are not running a quackish institution. Our college is registered in Nigeria while our lecturers are qualified for the job.
  1. OUR VISION: Without vision, there will be no mission is the true product of vision. We want to train and equip ministers who will correct the corruptions that have filled our land even in the churches. We want to produce people with sound educational and theological power who will be bold to condemn evil in our society, convert the occultist, the heathens, the church goers, the leaders of thoughts and the great men of our time. We want to extend theological education to the churches by training the church workers to be more useful in the hand of God. We therefore, request you to send your deacons, teachers, ushers and other workers for sound part time theological training that will last only but one year. We want to extend theological education to the churches by training the church workers to be more useful in the hand of God. We therefore, request you to send your deacons, teachers, ushers and other workers for sound part time theological training that will last only but one year. We want to make this land the Christian land and hand it over God completely.

  1. MERITORIOUS AND HONORARY DOCTORATE DEGREE AWARDS: Today we have good people of our great nation whose testimonies of good works, sincerity, love and contributions to the church, to the government and to individuals have reached heaven, covered the earth and down to us. Their testimonies have proved to be true with many evidences within and without. Some of them today will be decorated as doctors, while some also will have certificates of merit due to their great contributions. The people are great and I know their friends and well wishers who come with the would be doctors to do something gently and maturely though with joy in their hearts and praises in their lips. I will present when it is time for that.
  1. APPRECIATION: I thank God who is building this college, I say “May all honor, all praise, and kingly worship to be given to his holy name”… Amen. I will not forget to thank and appreciate our present and outgoing students who have embraced the discipline and holiness of our college and completely became the errand team of our college. Worthy to note are the services, sacrifices and diligence of our lecturers who have devoted their time, talent and energy to build this college. I also thank the governing council who are laboring, sacrificing and working with me to actualize this work. I also thank the administrative council that are working the academic programmes of this college.

  1. APPEAL: I plead with good Nigerians here to help this interdenominational Bible College, whatever thing you give us for the building of this college will be utilized for the purpose in which you give it. We have many needs but anyone that the Lord may lay in your heart to do, we shall appreciate it. We need computers, chapel equipment (amplifier, microphone, speakers and generator). We need gospel van, white seats, video sets and video camera. There are many things we need that will make this college meet her target, if God has touched you to do all or one of them, just let us know we shall allow you to speak out. I want to assure you that whatever cash you give in order to support this college is directly given to God and God will not fail to reward you.
    • THE PROBLEM OF INDIGENT STUDENTS: There are many people in our churches who are called by God but are hindered by money, this also becomes a great challenge that money hindered the work of God while you are around. This is very ridiculous. In our college, we have many students who cannot even transport themselves to school or can they pay their school fees, some cannot pay their school fees, some are planning to drop, some are crying while others are regretting because God called them to service without sponsor. These students are sincere and are willing to work for God but no money to carry on their training. Are you not challenged that money is trying to be a hindrance to God’s work. If God has touched you about any of these students or all of them, please indicate by writing or vowing openly and telling us what you can do to help the poor students finish their studies.
    • WHAT EL THEOLOGICAL COLLEE STANDS FOR AND FIGHTS FOR

    12. To correct the wrong notion of ministry which has crippled many pulpits in Nigeria.
    1. DOCTRINAL POSITION

The doctrine taught in our Bible college can be summarized thus:

    1. That the holy scriptures were given by divine inspiration and are the word of God and contain all things necessary for man’s salvation.
    2. That in the unity of the Godhead, there are three persons of the same substance, power and eternity – the father, the son and the Holy spirit.
    3. That Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God, the second person of the trinity was eternally one with the father, that he was conceived by the Holy Ghost and was born of the virgin Mary that he died for our sins, both actual and original sins that he arose the death and ascended into heaven, where He is making intercession for us.
    4. That the Holy Ghost, the third person of the trinity proceeds from the father and the son as the true eternal God of one substance, majesty and glory with the father and the son.
    5. That all are born with the carnal mind which continues to exist after regeneration until destroyed by the baptism with the Holy Ghost.
    6. That justification, regeneration and adoption are simultaneous in the experience of seeker after God are obtained upon the condition of faith in the merits of the shed blood of Jesus. This experience is preceded by repentance and is accompanied by the witness of the Holy spirit.
    7. That entire sanctification is also provided in the atonement, that it is obtained by faith and is wrought instantaneously by the baptism off the Holy spirit.
    8. That Christ will personally appear at his second coming which shall result that rapture of the saints.
    9. That Christ will be a resurrection both the just and the unjust.
    10. That the first day of the week should be observed as the Lord’s day and Lord’s supper should be observed by the church until Jesus comes again.
    11. That heaven and hell fire are real places, heaven for the godly and hellfire for the ungodly people.
    12. That the 66 books of the Bible are complete word of God that needed no addition, nor subtraction.
    1. KINDS OF ADMISISON

    1. ADMISSION IN SCHOOL OF CHARISMA AND DEMONOLOGY

School of charisma and Demonology is a school attached to Eltheco with great emphasis on faith, spiritual gifts, deliverances, services, ministries, breaking of curses and covenant. Courses offered in the school of charisma are quite different from what are obtainable in other Bible colleges in Africa.

In this college, we have a school called SCHOOL OF DEMONOLOGY, which deals totally on how to detect demon possessed, demon depressed, demon initiated and the oppressed person. It goes further to deal on how to know a cursed person, cursed land and cursed properties, the final stage is how to give total deliverance to the persons, the land and the properties. This is a different school altogether, with a different registration, admitting ministers from churches, lay workers in the churches, even students from other Bible colleges. Some Bible lecturers and presidents are even encouraged to join this school. It is open for all.

    1. SPECIAL ADMISSIONS

    1. ADMISSION IN SCHOOL OF PRACTICAL MINSITRY

As the best and most practical Bible college in NIGERIA, El Emancipation ministry is a ministerial arm of El Theological College as El Theological College is also the educational arm of El Emancipation ministry. The students are trained fully on how to preach, how to teach, what to teach and what to preach, how to deal with powers of darkness, or how to break curses and covenants, or how to deliver the oppressed. In this practical ministry El Theological college trained a stand by deliverance team (ministers) for healing, deliverance, counseling, salvation, restoration, blessings and for the general miracles of the oppressed and for the needy. This team is made up of more than ten (10) anointed ministers with signs and wonders following their programmes. Rev. Prof Emma Ononuju, the president of this college is the founder and leader of this team, receiving clients from different parts of the country on Thursdays and reaching towns and villages for crusades, family deliverance, land deliverance and breaking of curses or covenants. This is another area where El Theological college scores the highest, which other Bible colleges are lacking. Testimonies of what God is using this team to do, have their own volume, ranging from healing, restoration, deliverance and other miracles.

    EVALUATION OF THE COLLEGE (ELTHECO)
