EL THEOLOGICAL COLLEGE?
When you are married, have three children, and own a house, a change like this needs to be approached with great care. All of the seminaries located within a reasonable radius of our home town got our attention in one way or another, but after visiting us, it became our choice.
Why? Because it was flexible enough to accommodate a family set-up like ours. It had an atmosphere of careful, thoughtful and realistic planning with no promises that could not be kept. At the same time it offered the hope and promise of a community of faith.
I have felt an overwhelming gratitude for having been encouraged to attend El Theological college. I think the gratitude comes out of what God has provided for us as a family in terms of the little country church where we serve as a student pastors, and for what God has given us through the seminary community life, academically and socially. The strength of Eltheco lies in relationships between people; relationships that are being built up in class, during breaks, in the hallways, the dorms, staff offices, and in all the numerous denominational and social groups in the community.
SATURDAY DEBATES
There is an official scriptural or theological even social or cultural debates on Saturdays by the hostel students. These debates may range from economic, ministry, spirituality, fame, mankind, studies, success, Bible issues, life, family or any issue necessary to build the faith of the student. The debate is to be organized by the students and be judged by any group appointed for that. The purpose of the debate is to build and to equip the faith, spirit and the reasoning of the students.
The debate is a college programme but not a part of the academic courses for now, but in further may be included, depending on what such debates stand for. Students living in hostels are advised to prepare for such debates to help themselves. It is a joyful moment and a good period to exchange views in love and in spirit as great people of God in God’s institution.
AN INVITATION
It is the home of three, four-year liberal arts colleges and two theological seminaries. We invite you to visit the university campus. Let us introduce you to our faculty and some of our students. We think you will like what you find here.
To encourage the visits of prospective students we offer a subsidy for your travel from anywhere in the adjacent states. Arrangements can be made by writing, returning the attached card or calling the admission office.
EL Group of Theological Seminaries NIGERIA.
CAMPUS VARIETIES
El Theological college has many varieties in the campus, such as studies, prayers, praises, devotions, quizzes, worship and general sharing, group meetings, group prayers, group fellowship and group visitations. Students are sent to churches to preach and to teach in order to prove their ministerial abilities. Students are used to heal the sick, cast out demons and break curses and liberate the oppressed.
Students are sent to mission fields, to local churches and to other field works. Assignments are given to students in order to evaluate them and to build their abilities.
It is the system of El Theological college to give the students’ abilities, responsibilities in order to make them great and powerful. The students are used in result oriented ministries in order to make them to be more useful in their churches and in the hand of almighty God.
CAMPUS SPIRITUALITY
The theme of El Theological college campus life is “HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD”. Every student is built, equipped and groomed with holiness standards, holiness emphasis and holiness life or confession. Sin is not allowed in the campus, no matter how little or social that may look alike. The spirituality of Eltheco campus is too high.
